Peco Power has introduced an innovative approach of a Rent-to-Own Electricity. A range of PowerBricks™ includes a powerlock feature, which disables the powering of electronic devices connected to a unit. Units can be reenabled by loading a voucher through a mobile device. This opens up electrification options to users who until now could not afford upfront capital costs.
The InverterBrick is a modular component that interfaces to a PowerBrick™ to provide AC electrification. The InverterBrick can operate in stand-alone mode for off-grid installations, as well as an Emergency Power System (EPS) for installations with an unreliable utility connection. The InverterBrick opens up possibilities that rural communities only dreamt of, such as running a fridge in their home. This has a tremendous impact on their quality of life.
PowerBrick™ provides solar-powered, smart-energy solutions for communities requiring off-the-grid electrification. This cost-effective product costs less than the average spend on paraffin and candles monthly. It is modular and expandable, allowing users to increase their power capacity as they grow their system with the addition of more PowerBricks™.
